FAQ
When do I pay?
We require a non-refundable $100 deposit to book your party. At the end of your party, you will pay the Mad Scientist for the remaining balance of the party. You can pay with cash, check, or provide authorization to charge the credit card we have on file.
+Do I need to provide anything?
In-Home: We need a folding table or card table so the Mad Scientist can setup the equipment. We will also need access to water for set-up and clean-up and access to electricity. Please let us know if your party location does not have either of these. The Lab: we got it all covered!
+How far in advance do I need to book my party?
Our party schedule fills up quickly. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, at least 3 weeks in advance is recommended.
+When can I have my party?
In Home - we can accomodate almost any time and any date depending on our availability, but there are no set time slots At the Lab - we have set time slots for Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am-1:00pm, 2:00pm-4:00pm, 5:00pm-7:00pm. We can also hold a party at the lab during the week ask us for the hours!

Our Party Themes
Air Blast (age 4-12)
Take an incredible trip through the world of air pressure! Kids will be amazed when they create invisible mini-tornadoes using our vortex generators and when they use our tornado tubes to make visible ones!! Hear the story of Eggbert, his dilemma and how we can solve his problem using different properties of air pressure. Melt a witch's head and learn about the mysterious properties of Styrofoam!
Mad About Blue (age 8-12)
Examine the properties of light like never before! Everyone will be dazzled by the mysterious science behind light and colors with this sparkling spectacular. Really see what colors make up our world. Experiment with electricity, conductors and circuits! Can you really turn on the lights without flipping a switch? And don’t forget the colorful firework display to wrap up the show!
Reactions in Action (age 8-12)
It’s all about Chemistry and Chemical Reactions! In this party the children will experience sand that is afraid of water, acid-base reactions, and many more exciting and thought provoking chemical reactions and even learn about electricity as they are introduced to our plasma ball!
Energize It! (age 7-12)
Get ready for the sparks to fly in this animated romp into energy! Capture falling lighting in your hands before learning the power of levitation with a static wand! Heat things up with thermo-energy paper as you learn how to change colors using nothing but your body temperature! Become a chemist and learn to put out candles using a chemical reaction and explore Fire making fun with a Fire Piston!
Little Top (age 2-3)
Enter an exciting world of the circus, where our Mad Scientist will introduce the concepts of potential and kinetic energy in fun and enlightening ways! In this fantastic party, designed specifically for preschoolers, children will meet the Ring Master and the Circus Animals! Watch as the Circus Clown makes an entry when children get to bounce clowns on a mini trampoline and so much more!
Young Wizards (ages 5-12)
Does your child enjoy reading about young wizards? Then give them a Mad Science Young Wizard Party! Experiment with amazing wizard wands to create lightning bolts from our Electric Wand, and then we can create light with our Lumos Wand! We will use a secret message paper that disappears with a bright flash, and watch our Wizard's Indoor Fireworks display.
Slippery Sticky Slime (ages 7-12)
Slime is the word! Brings us to your next party to help you have a slimy sticky adventure! We will explore the properties of polymers, experiment with balloons and learn about their super stretchy properties and even pass a needle through it! All stretchy things will happen in this party and children will be involved in every step. Get ready for some Mad Science Slime Competition and so much more!
Wacky Water! (ages 5-12)
In this party we make a splash with wonderful water physics! We will shake things with soda cans as we do crazy cool can tricks as make soda literally pop! We will experiment with the “super squirt” where water pressure and air pressure combine to for wacky wet fun as we all get super soaked! Just when you have had enough we will experiment with plastic water as we whip up some Mad Science Slime!
Halloween Spook-tacular (ages 5-12)
In our spook-tacular show, the children will be amazed by the antics of Count Eggbert as he struggles to fit back into his coffin after a night of feasting. Countess Meggbert falls under a witches spell and the children will use science to figure out how to reverse the spell! High flying floating eyeballs will amaze everyone! Unleash the power of science as we melt a witch’s head and more!
